WATERLOO (KWWL) – Sahara Williams had a lot choices. In the end, she decided Norman, Oklahoma was the best fit. The Waterloo West all-state forward committed to the Sooners and coach Jenny Baranczyk on Tuesday.
Williams, who's played in, and started, all but one game, helped lead the Wahawks to the state tournament in each of her first three seasons. This past year, she averaged 19.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4 assists as West reached the 5A championship game.
The junior chose Oklahoma over multiple power five offers, which included in-state programs Iowa and Iowa State.
