Regina beats West Branch 26-8

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KWWL) - The third-ranked Regina Regals improved to 7-0 Friday night with a win over rival West Branch.

The Regina offense struggled to start the game, snapping the ball over QB Jack Tierney's head and allowing a safety on the first play from scrimmage. Regina did retake the lead with a TD run from Levi Daniel midway through the first.

However, on their next drive, West Branch forced a fumble on the door step and recovered it for a scoop and score. Bears led 8-6 at the end of 1.

From that point, Regina was in control. With two TDs in the second quarter, they led 20-8 at halftime. By the end, it was 26-8. The Regina defense pitched a shutout and they are looking good with one more week left in the regular season.

West Branch drops to 5-2, still trying to make the playoffs with a win next week over Wilton.
