(GLADBROOK - KWWL) Don Bosco got off to a slow start, but used some big plays and timely stops on defense to defeat previously unbeaten Gladbrook-Reinbeck 42-36. The Rebels started the game strong as on the first play of the game Isaac Clark connected with Caleb Egesdal for a 57-yard TD pass. The Dons would even the score on Carson Tenold's interception for a touchdown. The Dons would go up 14-8 after a 70-yard TD run by Cade Tenold. The Rebels would tie it up on Clark's 51-yard TD pass to Ethan Geinger. The Rebels went ahead on a 25-yard TD run by Luke Riffey. But the Dons would not be denied. They went on a 28-0 run through the 2nd and 3rd quarter, including a 50 yard TD run by Cade Tenold followed by Tenold catching a TD pass from Ty Purdy to make it 36-22 before halftime. A late TD from the Rebels made the score 42-36 but they could not convert an on-side kick with just over 1:00 to play. G-R finishes the regular season at home against Collins-Maxwell, while the Dons return home to face Meskwaki Settlement.
