WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) - Police have identified a man who drowned in the Cedar River, possibly during the My Waterloo Days parade, as 25-year-old Miguel Angel Reyes-Guzman.

Police and Fire crews began searching for Reyes-Guzman on June 10, after receiving a report of a man in the river around 6:30 p.m., while the parade was going on. No one was found, but emergency crews continued their search over the next several days.

On June 13, crews pulled a body from the river at 2:15 p.m. along Hawthorne Ave. They also recovered a shirt from the shore believed to be Reyes-Guzman's.

No foul play was suspected, and after an autopsy was completed by the State Medical Examiner's Office, it was determined that Reyes-Guzman drowned.
