UPDATE — The Waterloo Police Department released a statement Monday revealing the names of the two victims involved in Saturday night’s shooting.
One of the victims, Marquavion D. Brown, age 19 of Waterloo died as the result of his injuries after being transported to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The second victim, Quintorey F. Kemp age 21 continues to receive treatment for his injuries.
In the statement, the department also stated that this is still an ongoing investigation.
UPDATE — Police now say that one of the shooting victims died from his injuries and the other remains at Allen Hospital.
UPDATE (9:50 P.M.) — Waterloo Police have confirmed there are two victims in Saturday night’s shooting.
Police said it happened in the 200 block of Madison Street around 6 p.m.
The names of the victims are not being released at this time and their conditions were not immediately available.
Police were called to Allen Hospital later in the evening where the victims were taken for a report of shots fired.
That claim turned out to be a false alarm related to the initial shooting, however Allen Hospital was placed on lock down for a short time.

Police haven’t said when or where the shooting happened or how many people were injured.
