IOWA CITY(KWWL)--One of the nation's top college football recruits has decided to stay in the state and play for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Kadyn Proctor... A five star recruit from Southeast Polk announced on social media that he is committing to play for Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Proctor is the number two ranked tackle in the 2023 recruiting class and is ranked the tenth overall recruit in the country by 24/7 sports.
Proctor is a massive young man standing 6 feet 7 inches and weighing 330 pounds. It appears the Hawkeyes were in a battle with Alabama and there are reports that Proctor made an official visit to Tuscaloosa just three weeks ago.
But Proctor decided it was time to commit to the Hawkeyes.
Jadyn Proctor said "I did it with my parents and with Ferentz on the last day on the 26th and I think he was like stunned dropped his coffee down on the table.... man that's crazy every time I go there I can see myself going there see myself fitting in and see myself dominating for 3 or 4 years during the time that I am there and be one of the greatest that had stepped on the field."
