DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWWL) -- The suspect in an officer involved shooting has died from his injuries, following an altercation Wednesday afternoon.
37-year-old Bobby Klum was reportedly walking around a neighborhood with a gun pointed to his head, when Davenport police responded to de-escalate the situation. Klum refused to comply with officers upon their arrival.
Klum fired two less-lethal and ineffective rounds, to which a police officer responded by firing a shot to Klum's mid-torso.
Klum was sent to an area hospital for treatment where he was pronounced dead. The officer involved has been placed on administrative leave pending investigation.
