MONTEZUMA, Iowa (KWWL/KCCI) -- The community of Montezuma has come together to raise money for the family of Xavior Harrelson and funeral costs.

Monday was the first day school resumed since Harrelson's body was identified on Friday. Students wore orange in honor of Harrelson at Monday night's volleyball game.

Some parents also took part, including Chad Shaffer.

"This community is tight, he was two blocks north of my house, of where I live," Shaffer said. "It's very hard, you never really want to heart that from anybody, but for a child especially, if you have a child."

Diane Hoffman, who has been heavily involved in the four month search, has become close friends with Xavior's father and his family.

"The focus is now on funeral plans and justice for a little boy...whose smile touched so many hearts," Hoffman said.

If anyone else is interested in donating to the funeral costs, Xavior's family says to donate directly to the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown.

The obituary for Xavior says that funeral services are currently pending.

On Tuesday, federal agents conducted a federal search warrant at a residence in New Sharon, which is around 13 miles south of Montezuma. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says they were at the scene to assist "in the event" it was connected to the Xavior Harrelson investigation.
