IOWA (KWWL) -- A New 'Field of Dreams' series will be filming in Iowa, and air on NBCUniversal streaming service Peacock, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The series is executive produced by Mike Schur. Schur is known for his role as a TV series creator, writer and producer for some big hits like: The Office, Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Good Place.
According to IMBb, the project is in pre-production and will be "based on iconic Kevin Costner-led Baseball drama."
The Hollywood Reporter says production is set to start this summer and will get assistance from local crew, suppliers and vendors including: Clear Lake's Renovo MediaGroup, Musco Lighting and Iowa Sports Turf.
Filming is set for several spots in Iowa including Polk, Mahaska, Clinton and Boone Counties; however, there isn't any shooting anticipated at the actual Field of Dreams in Dyersville.
This is partially due to the fact that the production schedule conflicts with the Major League Baseball Field of Dreams game.
The series was picked up by Peacock in August.
