DONATING DIAPERS: Agency provides diapers to families affected by derecho

  • 0

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KWWL) -- If you are struggling to buy diapers after the derecho, one agency in the viewing area is here to help.

The Eastern Iowa Diaper Bank (EIDB) is providing diapers and wipes to families and children in need.

The agency said the need for diapers is even greater since last Monday's devastating storm.

“We are extremely grateful for the outpouring of support for EIDB from the community. Friends from near and far are donating, which allows us to continue providing diapers to those in need,” said EIDB spokesperson Erin Langdon.

If you need diapers, EIDB is stocking the five Cedar Rapids Neighborhood Resource Centers daily.

The Diaper Bank is also open Mondays from 1 to 5 p.m. and Thursdays from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

If you would like to donate to the Diaper Bank, you can visit 420 6th St. SE, #180 in Cedar Rapids daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

EIDB accepts all sizes, brands and open or partial packages of unused diapers and wipes.

You can also donate online through Amazon or the Diaper Bank's website.
