CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KWWL) -- Cedar Rapids Police Chief Wayne Jerman will soon be retiring.
According to city council documents, the council will discuss a resolution on Tuesday to approve and execute a severance agreement with Jerman.
The document says that he's retiring due to confidential restraints, necessitating his separation.
Last month, the city decided to assess his certification status because peace officer certifications expire when the officer turns 66.
