CR Library announces spring break events

The Cedar Rapids Public Library is announcing a number of Spring Break programs at CR Library, Westdale Mall.

            Youngsters are invited to attend several programs at the Cedar Rapids Public Library during Spring Break week, March 23-27.

            On Monday, March 23, families can attend a movie showing of the award-winning move Wall-e in the programming room at 1:30 pm. There is floor seating and attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on and their own refreshments.

            On Tuesday, March 24, a book discussion of the children's classic Black Beauty will be followed by a showing of the movie based upon the book. The program begins at 1:30 pm in the programming room. Refreshments will be provided.

            Peter Rabbit comes to the Library on Thursday, March 26 - or at least his creator Beatrix Potter will be there reading The Tale of Peter Rabbit as well as other books written and illustrated by the famous children's author. Miss Potter will talk about her life and writing. The 1:30 pm program will be followed by a craft activity and treats. The program will be held in the space across from the entrance to the library.
