Grassley takes health complaints to HHS nominee

WASHINGTON (KWWL) -- After an outburst Tuesday, Senator Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) met the likely Health and Human Services Secretary, Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius. Grassley again expressed his concern that proposed cuts in medicare advantage programs, which include fringe health care coverages, would hurt rural Iowans the most.

"If his plan goes through, we're going to lose medicare advantage for rural America. It means we're going to have unequal coverage plans available," said Sen. Grassley. "They're going to have Medicare Advantage in Los Angeles, but not rural Iowa."
