Judge rules baby death trial will stay in Waterloo

Posted:

WATERLOO (KWWL) - A judge has ruled the trial of a Waterloo man accused in the death of his 8-month-old son will stay in Waterloo.

The judge on Feb. 27 denied a motion by Antwuan Williams Sr. to move his first-degree murder trial out of Black Hawk County because of pre-trial publicity.

His trial is set for May 18.

Williams is accused of killing his son, Antwuan Williams Jr., in February 2008. The baby was found unresponsive at the family home and later died. Court records say doctors found a number of fractures and signs of prior injuries.
