Iowa wrestling wins Big Ten tournament

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -- Penn State hosting the Big Ten Wrestling Tournament this weekend, championships Sunday afternoon.

Iowa leading the way at 149. Brent Metcalf trying for 56 straight win as a Hawkeye. Metcalf with the major decision, 9-1. Taking his second consecutive championship.

At 165 Junoir Ryan Morningstar taking on Andrew Howe of Wisconsin. He losses the match giving Wisconsin some points.

But Iowa wins the Big Ten wrestling tournament. Illinois finished second, Michgan, Wisconsin and Minnesota, following to fill the top 5.

Meanwhile Saturday Big 12 Championships, Iowa State shares the title, Co-Champions, with Nebraska. Missouri in second followed by Oklahoma State and Oklahoma in 4th and 5th.

And Saturday in Division III Wrestling, Wartburg winning the national title.
