Luck of the Irish at Loras College St. Pat's Auction

DUBUQUE (KWWL) - Students at Loras College are relying on the luck of the Irish, Friday, at their Annual St. Patrick's Day Auction.

Items up for grabs: everything from a fooseball table to guitars and gift baskets, everything in between. All proceeds go directly towards student service trips to Honduras, Haiti, Chicago, Washington D.C. And several others. Organizers say the event is a chance to have some fun, and possible find your own pot of gold.

"Most of the stuff that we have is donated from local businesses and people on campus so its just a lot of opportunity for people to maybe pick up something that would be fun to have and support our service trip program at the same time," said Campus Ministry Coordinator, Colleen Kuhl.

Also up for grabs: A raffle for an i-pod touch. Friday's event began at 5:30 p.m. The event is held in the Alumni Campus Center.
