Study shows kids eat veggies with "cool" names

(NBC)-- If your little one turns up his nose at boring old broccoli, his mouth just might water at the sight of "dinosaur trees."

A study of 4-year-olds finds jazzing up the names of vegetables makes them much more enticing to kids.

One day, they were given carrots with lunch. On other days, the carrots were renamed "x-ray vision carrots."

Kids ate nearly twice as many carrots when they were given the cooler name.

Researchers say kids continued to eat more veggies even after the foods went back to their original names.
