ISU projects on US house bill

AMES (KWWL) -- Federal funding could pay for a wide range of projects at Iowa State University.

The money was included in a bill passed by in the US house Wednesday.  It includes more than $30,000 for researching higher crop yields, $666,000 for lab expansions in the college of veterinary medicine, more than a million dollars for the food and agriculture policy resaerch institute, and $650,000 for a first-of-its-kind cyber security defense program.

The measure now heads to the senate before it could be signed into law by the president.
