Police: Teen killed in Marion school bus crash was speeding

MARION (KWWL) -- Police say the teenage driver of a car killed in a crash with a school bus in Marion was speeding when the accident occurred.

Tyler Toll, 18, of Robins, died in the crash on February 10th.

Police say Toll was traveling east on Iowa Highway 100 and approaching an intersection. Investigators say he was exceeding the 45 mph speed limit and collided with a Cedar Rapids school bus, which was turning onto Highway 100.

Ten students were on the bus along with the driver, Ruth Kenton. No one on the bus was hurt.

Police say no charges will be filed.
