$5 million for flooded eastern Iowa Trails

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- $5-million dollars from FEMA will help rebuild two popular Iowa trails following this summer's record flooding.

Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) announced the funding will help repair the Heritage Trail in Dubuque County. The flood left pot-holes and washed away sections of the trail.

The FEMA funding will also pay to replace the Evansdale Bridge on the Cedar Valley Nature Trail in Black Hawk County, which washed away during the floods.
