Bodies found in Lone Tree

LONE TREE (KWWL) -- Two people were found dead in a Lone Tree home by Johnson County deputies Saturday night.  The deputies were called to 401 South Center St. for a welfare check.  Inside, they found the bodies of two people.

Investigators spent much of the night and part of the day at the scene Sunday.  They're not releasing much information.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and its mobile lab have been involved in the case.
Autopsies are planned for Monday morning.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office has not released the victims names.  Neighbors say a woman rented the home and lived with her three kids and boyfriend.  They say she worked at the casino in riverside.

"What I heard happened, it can happen anywhere at any time in the country anymore. It doesn't surprise me if it was my other neighbors around here. It's just the way life is," said neighbor Dennis Nicola.

Neighbors say the residents were relatively new to the neighborhood, moving in during the last couple of years.  The Johnson County Sheriff says there are no public safety concerns.
