Flood recovery meeting for Palo community Friday

PALO (KWWL) -- Rebuild Iowa and FEMA plan to start the first of eight workshops Friday with communities recovering from the Floods of 2008.  The first meeeting will be with Palo community members at the Wickiup Hill Outdoor Learning Center in Toddville.  It begins at 5:30 p.m.

Future meetings and times are as follows:

  • Oakville: Saturday, Feb 21, 9 a.m. at the Oakville Community Building, behind 601 Second St., Oakville.
  • New Hartford: Monday, Feb 23, 6 p.m. a the Community Center, York and Broadway streets, New Hartford.
  • Iowa City/Coralville: Tuesday, Feb 24, 8 a.m. at the Iowa City Public Library, 123 Linn St, Iowa City.
  • Cedar Falls/Waterloo: Tuesday, Feb 24, 3:30 p.m. at the Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments (INRCOG) offices, 229 E Park St, Waterloo.
  • Cedar Rapids: Wednesday, Feb 25, 8 a.m. at City Hall North, 3851 River Ridge Dr. NE in Cedar Rapids.
  • Parkersburg: Wednesday, Feb 25, 5:30 p.m., Veterans Memorial Building, 205 Cemetery St. in Parkersburg.
  • Waverly: Thursday, Feb 26, 5:30 p.m., City Council chambers, 200 First St. NE in Waverly.
