Cedar Rapids woman gets 30 years in child porn case

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - A Cedar Rapids woman was sentenced Thursday to 30 years in prison for possessing child pornography she produced.

Heather Fiorella, 33, pleaded guilty on December 11, 2007 to three counts of possessing child pornography.

United States District Court Chief Judge Linda R. Reade found during the sentencing order that Fiorella produced pornographic pictures of an 11-year-old child.

Reade also found that Fiorella tried to produce pornographic images of another 14-year-old child by secretly taking video as she and her co-defendant, John Shuler, tried to convince the child to engage in sexually explicit conduct.

Shuler was sentenced on Sept. 9, 2008, to just under 40 years in prison.
