Police make two separate drug arrests in 24 hours

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- Cedar Rapids police say two arrests involving the production of methamphetamine are unrelated.

On Tuesday, police Thomas Fisher, 40, at his home on Mt. Vernon Road. Fisher was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, Drug Tax Stamp and Possession of Prescription Drugs. Police also found items commonly used in manufacturing meth.

On Wednesday morning, police arrested Patrick Blackburn, 32, at a home on Blakely Blvd. SE. Blackburn was charged with PCS Marijuana and PDP. Police also found items commonly used in manufacturing meth.

Police say the investigation into both arrests continues and additional charges may be filed.
