Iowa City (KWWL) - Pregnant belly dancing is the latest craze to help in childbirth.
Proponents say belly dancing helps expectant mothers strengthen their abdominal muscles, making childbirth easier.
Doctors consider dancing exercises during pregnancy safe as long as women aren't straining themselves.
Doctors add jumping and jarring movements are not recommended and suggest the mothers-to-be take up yoga and other low-impact stretching exercises such as lamaze.
