300 St. Edwards kids experience Youth Pavilion

More than 300 St. Edwards kids were able to get a new learning experience today at the phelps youth pavilion.

St. Edwards principal Pam Schowalter says " it's fun, and learning and hands on, it's somthing the kids will remember, and it's a way to get education and make it a little bit more fun"

The kids rotated each half hour to 15 differnt exibits featuring haitian artwork; springs, sprokets, and pulleys; and grant wood movie and drawing seasons. The kindergarten through 8-th grade field trip was the single largest group of kids to tour the phelps youth pavilion at one time.

Shannon farlow development and marketing dir. for the phelps youth pavilion saysm, "today was a totally new experience for us. Having an entire school come and it was kind of breaking new ground for us, but we were really excited to give it a try and see how we could learn from it and what the kids and teachers get out of it."

The phelps youth pavilion is still availible for school class tours before the end of the school year at the low cost of one dollar per student.
