The crash involved a Cedar Rapids Public school bus and a car. The car's driver was transported to St. Luke's where he was pronounced dead.

The Cedar Rapids Community School District says 10 children were on the bus at the time of the accident. None of them were injured. Another bus was sent to pick them up and take them to school.
