UNI Misses Opportunity with Loss to Creighton

Posted:

Creighton's 77-71 victory over Northern Iowa not only snapped the Panthers eleven game winning streak, it also slowed down UNI's momentum toward gaining an NCAA tournament berth.

The loss dropped the Panthers' RPI four spots from 83 to 79. Despite being in the driver's seat for the Missouri Valley Conference regular season title, the only chance UNI may have of making the NCAA postseason would come by winning the MVC tournament in March.
