Waterloo police investigate man found injured

WATERLOO (KWWL) - Waterloo police are investigating the case of a Waterloo man who was found in the snow Wednesday night after he was apparently beaten.

Officers were called to Covenant Medical Center at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday after an person dropped off Redrick Creighton in the emergency room.

Creighton, 56, had multiple cuts to his head and possible facial fractures in the area of his eye socket,.

He was unable to give officers an account of how he was injured.

According to police, Creighton was transported to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City for further treatment, but his injuries don't appear to be life threatening.

Investigators said the person who brought Creighton to Covenant said he found him in the snow in the area of West Second and Randolph streets, which is about a block from his home.
