UNI vs Siena in Bracket Buster

The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team will travel to face Siena in a televised ESPNU BracketBusters game on Saturday, Feb. 21, it was announced today.  The time of the game, as well as the network it will air on, will be revealed on Mon., Feb. 9.
 
Siena (18-5, 12-0 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) won its eighth straight game tonight, posting a 74-63 win at Saint Peter's. Located in Loudonville, N.Y., the Saints have a balanced scoring attack, as six players average eight points or better.  Siena's RPI as of today was 20.
 
The Panthers and Saints have met twice in their history, and both meetings were relatively recently.  The teams last played in the 2003-04 season, when UNI posted an 82-70 win at the UNI-Dome.  Siena posted a 69-58 home victory over the Panthers at the Times Union Center in the 2002-03 campaign.
 
UNI and Siena have one opponent in common this season, in Missouri Valley Conference foe Wichita State.  UNI defeated WSU, 78-54, on Jan. 3 at the McLeod Center, while Siena fell to the Shockers, 72-70 on Nov. 28, at the Old Spice Classic in Orlando, Fla.
 
UNI (16-6, 10-1 Missouri Valley Conference) has won 10 consecutive games, and will play at Bradley (13-9, 7-4 MVC) tomorrow night in Peoria, Ill.  Tipoff from Carver Arena is set for 7:05 pm.
