A few events in eastern Iowa Friday

Here's a few events that are happening Friday in parts of eastern Iowa:

Cedar Rapids - Re-opening ceremony open house for Congressman Dave Loebsack's District Office.  The office was damaged during the Floods of 2008.  The open house is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. to Noon at the office, which is located at the corner of 1st Ave. and 2nd St. NE.

Independence - Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey 99 county tour continues.  Northey plans to host a town hall meeting at the Farm Bureau Office at 12:30 p.m.

Fayette - Bill Northey continues his 99 county tour with a visit to the Ag and Home Expo at Upper Iowa University.

Dubuque - Economic Simulus Town Hall meeting hosted by Representative Bruce Braley.  Begins at 10:00 a.m. at the Grand River Center.

Dubuque - Loras College Hosts 21st Annual National Mock Trial Invitational.  Rounds One and Two of the Loras Invitational competition will be held on Friday beginning at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. respectively.

Hudson - Blood drive for the American Red Cross.  Hudson High School from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m.
