Two arrested for making meth at work

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- Two Cedar Rapids residents have been charged with possession of a controlled substance as well as manufacturing methamphetamine after "cooking" at work.

On January 19th, employees at Denny's Mufflers called police to report a strong chemical odor and the possibility of a co-worker making illegal drugs.  Police say Narcotics Investigators went to the store and found Wayne Sams as well as his girlfriend Sarah Wittles.  Police say Sams was making the drug at work and Wettles was aparently there to pick up the substance. 

Both were taken to the Linn County Jail at the Hinzman Center.
