UPDATE: Cedar Rapids house fire victim identified

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- The Cedar Rapids Fire Department have identified the woman killed in a weekend house fire.

The fire department says Pamela Sue Jones, 54 died after a fire in her home on the 300 block of 26th Avenue SW Sunday afternoon.  Firefighters tried to rescue Jones from the home, but she died at the scene. 

A fire department news release says the victim's husband, Marion Jones, 67, returned home to find it on fire and his wife still inside.  Marion Jones went to a neighbor's home to call 911. 

The Linn County Medical Examiner's Office is investigating Joen's exact cause of death.

Right now, the Cedar Rapids Fire Department doesn't know what caused the fire and is still investigating.
