Agriprocessors workers find new home in Minnesota

LONG PRAIRIE, MINNESOTA(AP) -- About 40 workers who were displaced by troubles at the Agriprocessors kosher meatpacking plant in Postville have found a new start in Minnesota.

The workers have settled in Long Prairie, in central Minnesota, where they are working at Long Prairie Packing Co.

The workers found their way to Long Prairie after the plant's humance resources manager, Sergio Torres, traveled to Decorah to interview displaced Agriprocessors workers for jobs at the Minnesota plant.

Now the workers say they are happy to have found work and a stable home.

Former Agriprocessors employee Maverick Masahiro says he loves it in Long Prairie and lives in a rented house with three other people.
