Police make second arrest in school bus incident

Manchester Police Chief Bruce Trapp says his officers have made a second arrest in connection with a recent West Delaware School bus incident, in which fuel lines were cut on 5 school buses.

Chief Trapp reports the arrest of 18-year old Daniel P. Mitchell of Manchester. Mitchell is being charged with three Class D Felonies, including Conspiracy, Aiding and Abetting 2nd Degree Burglary and Aiding and Abetting 2nd Degree Criminal Mischief.

Earlier, Manchester Police arrested 15-year old Brandon Lynch of Manchester in connection with the school bus incident.

In a Manchester Police Department News Release, Chief Trapp says authorities believe Mitchell conspired with Brandon Lynch to commit the crime on the night of January 4.  Authorities say Mitchell allegedly provided transportation to and from the alleged crime scene. Mitchell is also accused pf providing instructions and information to Lynch, via cell phone, on how to locate, and then cut the West Delaware School bus fuel lines.

Mitchell is being held in the Delaware County Jail in lieu of $ 5,000 bail.
