Iowa National Guard returns from Inauguration

DES MOINES (KWWL) - Soldiers and Airmen from the Iowa National Guard supporting the presidential inauguration are now returning to Iowa.

The first aircraft bearing Iowa Soldiers and Airmen will arrive at the Iowa National Guard Airbase, Des Moines, beginning at 12:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 21.

The Iowa Air National Guard Airbase, home to the 132nd Fighter Wing, Des Moines, is located at 3100 McKinley Avenue, Des Moines.

Iowa activated approximately 1,000 Soldiers from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, Iowa Army National Guard, and Airmen from the 185th Air Refueling Wing and 132nd Fighter Wing, Iowa Air National Guard in support of the inauguration.
