Eminent Domain starts again for Dubuque Airport

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -- After a near agreement, the City of Dubuque is once again pursuing eminent domain to get land for an expansion of the Dubuque Regional Airport.

The city says it was close to a deal to buy farmland adjacent to the airport now owned by the Bradley family. The two sides have been fighting over the price of 103 acres for more than a year. Now, the city is getting the land re-appraised as part of eminent domain proceedings. The land would make way for a new, larger airport terminal.
