Hundreds leave for March for Life in D.C.

Dubuque (KWWL) -- As people head home following the inauguration, hundreds of eastern Iowans are headed to Washington, DC Tuesday night. Around 400 people from around Dubuque loaded seven buses, all headed to the capitol city for the annual March for Life. Many of those going are students from area Catholic schools and colleges.

"We're just very concerned with the legalization of abortions, and so we're going to do what we can to say what we feel about this and show we support giving every life a chance to live," Loras student Kate Russell said.

The buses will travel through the night-- picking up even more people in the Quad Cities. The march will be this Thursday, the 36th anniversary of the Roe versus Wade Supreme Court decision.
