Rules for You've Got Class Submissions


Official Rules for ‘You've Got Class'

  • Viewers are instructed to go to and register for a chance to show that They Have Class.


  • You've Got Class is open to all public and parochial classrooms pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, non-collegiate summer school courses, home school groups, and youth-based community organizations that operate during non-school months.
  • Entrants are required to submit a video or photo. The video should be no longer than :60 that illustrates how their class follows one of the Six Pillars of Character (Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship). A brief explanation of the photo should accompany the submission.

General Rules

  • No purchase necessary and void where prohibited.
  • Submission of video or photo consents that their name, voice, photograph and likeness may be used for promotional purposes.
  • Selected classes will be notified by phone.
  • The decision of KWWL in the interpretation of these rules is final. KWWL is the sole judge of the submitted entries. By participating, persons agree to be bound by the judges decision and the official rules. 
  • Odds of being selected depend on the number of entries.
  • KWWL reserves the right to change, alter or modify these rules at anytime without notice.
  • KWWL reserves the right to terminate the entry without any liability. 
  • Submitted videos and photos are eligible for four weeks from date of submission. New entries may be submitted after that time.
  • Selected classes must be available on Tuesdays or Fridays when the segments are recorded.
  • Selected class segments air Mondays on Today in Iowa (between 6am - 7am) and Saturday on Today in Iowa.
