IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) -- An attorney for a Coralville woman accused of killing her 2-year-old son has been given more time to file pretrial motions.

Court records indicate that the state did not object to a request last week by Michelle Kehoe's attorney to extend the deadline to file pretrial motions and notices of defense.

The motion was granted on Jan. 13.

Kehoe is accused of killing her 2-year-old son, Seth, and attempting to kill her 7-year-old son, Sean, in rural Buchanan County on Oct. 26.

Kehoe faces charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder and child endangerment resulting in serious injury. She is scheduled to on trial March 18 and has entered a not guilty plea to the charges.
