Iowa's bravest headed to Presidential mission

DES MOINES (KWWL) -- One thousand of Iowa's bravest left for training Thursday, as soldiers from the Iowa Army National Guard will assist with the Presidential Inauguration.

Airmen from the 132nd Fighter Wing left Des Moines Thursday afternoon for Camp Dodge in Johnston, Iowa.  They'll go through a couple days of training there and will head to Washington D.C. this weekend.

There are around 220 soldiers from three Eastern Iowa battalions with missions for the inauguration.
