Jury seated in Harris murder trial

SIOUX CITY -- A district judge has sworn in 12 jurors in the murder trial of a Sioux City man accused of killing his stepdaughters.

District Judge James Scott swore in the jurors on Wednesday for the murder trial of Larry Harris.

Harris is accused of killing 8-year-old Aylsha and 10-year-old Kendra Suing. Police say Harris strangled and stabbed the girls.

Before the jury was seated, Harris' attorney, Mike Williams, made a final attempt to move the trial out of Woodbury County. Scott denied his request.

The prosecution's first witness is expected to take the stand after opening statements on Friday morning.
