DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Iowa coach Todd Lickliter says Anthony Tucker's recent lack of playing time is not related to his December suspension for alcohol-related issues.
Lickliter said Monday that he and Tucker have put the suspension behind them. But Lickliter says Tucker is still recovering from lost practice time and an illness he suffered earlier last month.
Tucker -- a freshman guard who is averaging a team-high 11.8 points per game -- played just one minute against Ohio State on Dec. 31. He did not play in Iowa's 65-60 win over Indiana.
Lickliter also praised the play of guards Jermain Davis and Devan Bawinkel, who have filled in with Tucker on the bench.
