Train derails in Washington, no one hurt

WASHINTON (KWWL) -- Washington County authorities have closed a road for about 24 hours after a train derailment Saturday morning.

The Washington County Public Safety Center says it got a call around 7:10 A.M. of a train derailment in the 2400 block of Palm Avenue in the city of Washington.

Police reports say 14 cars are off the tracks.  No one was hurt. 

Right now, officials from IC&E Railroad are on the scene and the road remains closed for approximately the next 24 hours.
