People in Iowa speak out on conflict between Gaza Strip and Israel

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - The death toll is rising near the border between the Gaza strip and Israel.

More than 370 are now dead.

There is word Israel is considering suspending air strikes to give hamas militants a chance to halt rocket attacks.

Israeli officials say palestinian miltants have fired off more than 250 rockets and mortars since Saturday.

Now, those watching around the world are calling for peace... Some right here in eastern Iowa.   A vigil to protest the fighting was held Thursday afternoon noon outside offices for U.S. Representative Dave Loebsack and Senator Tom Harkin in Cedar Rapids.

A similar event will be held Tuesday night at 7:30
