Warmer weather brings deserved break to eastern Iowans

WATERLOO (KWWL)  -- Today's warmer weather was enjoyed by many eastern Iowans who have experienced ice and snow over the last few weeks.

Here is what some area residents had to say.

"It is simply marvelous, I was really wondering what I was going to do with all that snow at home because it was just too much and the last few days have really helped me out a lot. The wind is just a bit cooler than I'd like, but other than that it's a wonderful day. That ice that was just the worst part of it, what they say is if you have bad weather the first two months of winter, you'll have a milder spring. There's a lot of stuff you put off til the weather's nicer." -- Constance McGovern

"Beautiful today, better than yesterday and the day before too windy." -- Ricky Nguyen

"If you can get out now and do it while you can. It's lovely, better than what we've had the last few weeks, but one day it's going to get colder than this, you never know. The only sad thing about this weather is all that slush and ice. The ice makes you fall on your tail, I almost busted my tail earlier today." -- Damarus Dixon
