Research finds warming up can lower the risk for injury

Performing warm up exercise before playing sports can significantly lower the risk for severe injuries.

Researchers from norway recruited over 18 hundred female soccer players.

Some of the girls performed traditional warm up exercises, the rest participated in a 20 minute warm up that included slow and speed running.

The researchers found the number of severe injuries was significantly lower in the intervals group.
