CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) - UNI rallied from 21 points down against Indiana State to force overtime, only to lose in the first double-overtime game in McLeod Center History, 85-84.

The Sycamores built a 39-18 1st half lead behind red-hot shooting.  Former Linn-Mar guard Jordan Printy's 3 capped a 16-0 run to give Indiana State its biggest lead.  The Sycamores shot 64 percent in the opening half and led 41-24 at the break.

UNI slowly chipped away in the second half.  Kwadzo Ahelegbe got the Panthers going with a three to cut the ISU lead to 41-29.  Later, Ali Farokhmanesh scored on a driving layup to bring UNI within 51-42.

With under five minutes to play, Farokhmanesh drained a three to close the gap to 56-54.  Farokhmanesh scored all of his career-high tying 20 points after halftime.

Johnny Moran's three with less than a minute to go made it a 63-62 game.

After two Indiana State free throws, Travis Brown buried his only three of the day just before the buzzer, sending the game to overtime at 65-65.

UNI trailed throughout the first overtime until Ahelegbe tied it at 73-73 with 15 seconds left.  Indiana State missed a chance to win, sending the game to a second overtime.

In double overtime, back-to-back buckets by Ahelegbe gave the Panthers their first lead since early in the 1st half.

But the four-point edge quickly disappeared.  Trailing 79-77, Indiana State's Aaron Carter hit a three and got fouled.  His free throw put the Sycamores up 81-79 in the final minute.

Ahelegbe's layup try hit off the front of the rim with under 30 seconds to play.  Indiana State held on for the 85-84 win.

Ahelegbe set a career high with 28 points.
