Graduates avoid the cold for UNI Commencement


CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- Despite snow and wind, graduation at the University of Northern Iowa went on as scheduled in Cedar Falls.  This Saturday, more than 1,200 students joined as one to graduate in the climate controlled UNI-Dome.   

UNI Graduate Kelly Anne Hill was the student spearker at Saturday's commencement.  She offered these words, "In 2003, I knew for a fact that I wanted to go anywhere other than the University of Northern Iowa... needless to say I was wrong."

UNI Alum Chad Pitlek offered these words, "The classes were tough, I didn't like the classes as much as I hoped, just cause they were challenging, A lot of all nighters... but a lot of really great social aspects."
