Toys for Tots over birthday presents

Waterloo (KWWL) - Thanks to everyone who brought toys to KWWL-TV for this year's Cedar Falls Exchange Club, Marine Reserve Toys for Tots campaign. Because of your support, this year's KWWL Toys For Tots effort is our most successful ever.

Late Monday afternoon, we had some special guests from St. Edward's School in Waterloo stop by the KWWL-TV studio with four big bags of news toys.

Here's the deal on that; instead of getting birthday presents, 11-year old Dallas Angove had his friends at St. Ed's donate to Toys For Tots. Dallas, and classmates Molly and Mason, are all 5th graders at St. Edward's School. They dropped the toys off Monday afternoon. 29 toys in all from the St. Ed's 5th graders.

"It makes me feel warm inside that I helped out the other kids that are unfortunate I think they'll like them a lot and have a better Christmas," says Dallas.

In addition to Toys For Tots, KWWL employees are busy wrapping presents for our Adopt-A-Family recipients.  Check out the video to see Station manger, Kim Leer, Chris Davis, Sandy Wolf and Megan Lucas handling those chores for this year's families for the Adopt-A-Family program at KWWL-TV.
